Friendship Poem

Take care when you choose what to say.
For once your words are spoken,
They cannot be recalled.

Take care when you choose the thoughts
To hold in your mind.
For the quality of your life is determined
By the quality of your thoughts.

Take care when you choose
What to do with your time.
Time passes quickly no matter what you do,
So your best option is to make the very most of it.

Take care when setting the goals you will follow,
And choose those that are truly yours.
You’re far more likely to attain those goals
That have real meaning and are in line
With your own special purpose.

Take care when living this day, this moment,
This life with which you have been so richly blessed.

Take care, enjoy, appreciate, and value it all.
Take care, for there is so very much for which to live.
~Ralph Marston~

Although you are a friend of mine
and letters we exchange,
I wouldn’t know you on the street,
and doesn’t that seem strange?

You hold a place within my life,
unusual and unique;
We share ideals and special dreams,
and still, we do not speak.

I picture what I think you are,
perhaps you picture me.
An intriguing game for both of us
for someone we can’t see.

So for this friendship we possess,
we owe this mail a debt,
Perhaps the charm lies in the fact
that we have never met.

Manoj Rai

We sit and we type, and we stare at our screens,
We all have to wonder, what this possibly means.
With our mouse we roam, through the rooms in a maze,
Looking for something or someone, as we sit in a daze.

We chat with each other, we type all our woes,
Small groups we do form, and gang up on our foes.
We wait for somebody, to type out our name,
We want recognition, but it is always the same.

We hugs, and sometimes flirt,
In IMs we chat deeply, and reveal why we hurt.
We do form friendships – but – why we don’t know,
But some of these friendships, will flourish and grow.

Why is it on screen, we can be so bold,
Telling our secrets, that have never been told.
Why is it we share, the thoughts in our mind,
With those we can’t see, as though we were blind.

The answer is simple, it is as clear as a bell.
We all have our problems, and need someone to tell.
We can’t tell “real” people, but tell someone we must,
So we turn to the ‘puter, and to those we can trust.

Even though it is crazy, the truth still remains,
They are Friends Without Faces, and odd little names.
deed for another day,
Morning has come in a special way,
May you smile like the sunny rays &
Leave your worries for some other day…

Special World

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.

And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.

Friendship!

If you’re ever in a jam, here I am
If you’re ever in a mess, S-O-S
If you ever feel so happy, you land in jail;
I’m your bail.
It’s friendship, friendship, just a perfect blendship.
When other friendships have been forgot,
Ours will still be hot.
Lah-dle-ah-dle- ah-dle dig, dig, dig.

If you’re ever up a tree, phone to me.
If you’re ever down a well, ring my bell.
If you ever lose your teeth, and you’re out to dine;
borrow mine.
It’s friendship, friendship, just a perfect blendship.
When other friendships have been forgot,
Ours will still be hot.
Lah-dle-ah-dle- ah-dle, chuck, chuck, chuck.

If they ever black your eyes, put me wise.
If they ever cook your goose, turn me loose.
If they ever put a bullet through your brain;
I’ll complain.
It’s friendship, friendship, just a perfect blendship.
When other friendships have been forgot,
Ours will still be hot.
Lah-dle-ah-dle- ah-dle, hep, hep, hep.

Make new friends
But keep the old
For one is silver
And the other gold!

Written with a pen
Sealed with a kiss
If you are my friend,
Please answer this:

Are we friends or are we not?
You told me once, but I forgot.
So tell me now and tell me true,
So I can say, I am here for you.
Of all the friends I’ve ever met,
You’re the one I won’t forget.
And if I die before you do,
I’ll go to Heaven
And wait for you.

When true friendship
binds two individuals together,
that bond can never be broken.
For in times of confusion,
I will be there to listen to you.
In times of sadness,
I will be there to console you.
In times of anger,
I will be there to talk with you.
Even when miles separate us,
my friend,
when you are confused,
when you are sad,
when you are angry,
search your heart,
and I will be there.
I am and always will be
your friend.

A friend is somebody
Who knows you and likes you
Exactly the way that you are…

Someone who’s special
And so close in thought
That no distance can ever seem far.

A friend understands you without any words,
Stands by you when nothing goes right…
And willingly talks over problems with you
Till they somehow just vanish from sight.

And whether you’re neighbors or live miles apart,
A word from a friend gives a lift
To your heart and spirit that shows you once more
Why friendship is life’s dearest gift!

Beloved friend, I hold you in my heart
In my life you are a precious part
Our friendship is nurtured by love
Sprinkled with grace from God above.

I think of you so often
And always with a smile
I send this note to say hi
Because it has been a while.

I wish happiness for you
And pray everything is fine
Remember my love is a gift
Because you are a friend of mine.

To know you are not forgotten
I send special wishes, too
Please keep in touch with me
I always love hearing from you.

Thinking of you today
and wanted to let you know
how very special you are to me.

The best of friends,
Can change a frown,
Into a smile,
when you feel down.

The best of friends,
Will understand,
Your little trials,
And lend a hand.

The best of friends,
Will always share,
Your secret dreams,
Because they care.

The best of friends,
Worth more than gold,
Give all the love,
A heart can hold.
