The Messenger of Allaah (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “The Rights of a
Muslim upon another
Muslim are Six.
“He (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was then asked, “And what
are they, O Messenger
of Allaah.?” He
(sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) replied, “When you
Meet him, Greet him (i.e. say Assalaamu Alaikkum); when he Invites you
(to a meal) Accept it;
when he Seeks Advice,
Give him advice;
when he Sneezes and
says Alhamdulillah tell
him Yarhamukallaah
(May Allaah have mercy
on you);
when he is Sick,
Visit him; and when
he Dies, Follow
his funeral.”
